Creative Ageing Peer Learning Newsletter: April 2026
Welcome to the latest edition of our Creative Ageing Peer Learning Newsletter!
In this newsletter, we’ll share the latest events, news and learning from the programme. Highlights include:
- Intergenerational Creative Practice
- Creative Ageing and Men
- Connecting with your peers
Intergenerational Creative Practice
Join us for an online discussion, in partnership with Arti Prashar and The Linking Network, where we will be exploring what, why and how intergenerational creative practice works in practice.
The session will provide opportunity to hear from different perspectives and case studies, as well as time to share ideas around what this looks like in your programmes and services.
The session will take place on Wednesday 6 May.
Save the Date: Creative Ageing and Men
Join us for a session inspired by The Baring Foundation’s Missing Out Report which explores why comparatively few older men are engaged in creative opportunities in later life.
The session will include findings from the report, alongside a variety of case studies.
The session will take place on Wednesday 8 July. We will share more details soon.
Speakers included Dr Helen Manchester, from University of Bristol, Carl Stephens, Digital Innovation, Arts Council England, Sharon Wagg, University of Sheffield, Natalie Haslam, Ascendance and Jen Rhodes, 100% Digital Leeds.

International Creative Ageing Network
The Baring Foundation (UK) and Kaapeli (Finland) are piloting a new informal and virtual network for international creative ageing (iCAN).
iCAN is open to anyone, anywhere in the world – arts organisations, artists and practitioners, social care practitioners, care/residential home staff, researchers, local and national policy-makers – with an interest in arts and culture for older people.
